From the beginning, I`ve always liked tinkering with hockey equipment and helping out our over-worked and under appreciated equipment managers whenever I could. I now realize that it is what I really find gratifying and enjoy doing, so as I near retirement as a therapist, I`ve chosen to continue that practice from home.

    After an 18-year career as the head trainer for NHL and IHL Hockey teams across the country, I settled in the Mattawan area with my wife Jennifer and am currently working as a Therapist at Physical Therapy Services in Kalamazoo.

    My hockey career was accentuated with seasons as medical trainer for the New York Rangers and the Pittsburgh Penguins. These years with the NHL, combined with my International Hockey League tenure as trainer for the Michigan K-Wings, and other teams, I reached a milestone of 1500 professional Ice Hockey games worked. This accomplishment was acknowledged with an award from the Professional Hockey Athletic Trainers Society in January of 2000, while I served as trainer for the Michigan K-Wings.

I`ve also had the pleasure of being selected as the head medical trainer for the "Masters of Hockey" tournament, held in Stockholm, Sweden in 1990. A team comprised of NHL hall of fame players, assembled by renowned NHL player and executive Phil Esposito, represented North America at a worldwide tournament, and consequently, went undefeated.
 
    I am an alumnus of the Professional Hockey Athletic Trainers Society, in which I participated as a long-standing active member.  I also served as President of the International Trainers and Equipment Managers Society for eight years during my vocation.
